Intermodal transportation: essence and significance

Abstract

This scientific review article analyzes the essence and significance of intermodal transportation of agricultural products in Kazakhstan. The study will focus on the practice of combined use of several modes of transport (rail, road, sea) in the supply of grain and other agricultural products in Kazakhstan. The article identifies the current state of intermodal transportation in agricultural logistics in Kazakhstan, the main features and problems, and describes the place of international experience in their solution.
