Review of renewable energy sources used in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Abstract

The article deals with alternative energy sources as a way of development of qualitative changes in the energy
sector. The review of application of alternative energy sources in the Republic of Kazakhstan is carried out. During the period
of steady growth in electricity prices, as well as the widespread shortage, the widespread use of energy-saving technologies can
give a new impetus to the recovery of the country’s economy. World experience in the introduction of energy-saving technologies
shows that one dollar invested in energy saving gives an average of 4 dollars of economic effect. Taking into account that
Kazakhstan has mainly developed energy - intensive production, the use of energy sources in the future is a reliable way to
advanced ideas and sustainable development of the economy of Kazakhstan. Since energy needs will increase every year not
only in Kazakhstan, but also around the world, it will be impossible to meet this demand through the use of hydrocarbons.
Especially in the long term, as reserves for many types of resources are already at the stage of exhaustion.
