Abstract

The use of mobile games in the educational process can effectively combine situational and active learning with elements of entertainment. This research is devoted to the development of a mobile game using elements of augmented reality (AR) and gamification, to increase user engagement and improve their understanding of traffic rules. As part of a systematic literature review, 435 papers published from 2020 to 2024 on the impact of mobile games on learning were analyzed and reviewed. The preliminary analysis of the literature suggests that the integration of game elements such as AR and animated instructors has the potential to increase user interest and information retention. This approach is expected to improve the quality of education in the field of road safety.  In conclusion, recommendations are included for future research aimed at optimizing educational mobile applications and introducing innovative technologies into the learning process. It is expected that this work will become the basis for further developments in the field of mobile learning and improving road safety.
