Abstract

The article presents the results of a study aimed at solving the problem of ensuring the hardness of the deposited surfaces after machining. The authors propose two methods of thermofriction milling as mechanical processing such as traditional thermofriction milling and thermofriction milling with pulsed cooling. To conduct experimental studies, the authors determined the planning of the experiment was carried out and the required number of experiments.
For processing, special samples were prepared with a deposited layer of surfacing material, which is used in the production of Electric Locomotive Kurastyru Zauyty LLP (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan). The results of experimental studies have shown that both methods of thermofriction milling provide an increase in the hardness of the deposited surface. The article investigates the influence of milling modes on the hardness of the machined surface. The optimal values of milling modes have been established, which provide an increase in the initial hardness of the machined surface.
